Did you know many of our original controllers are still in the field? ChronoTrack hardware may not be the cheapest option for your Timing business, but investing in good, durable equipment is proven to save you time and money in the long run. What happens when your equipment has to be sent in for repairs? Well, depending on what you have and what it is… you can’t time races. That’s the worst-case scenario if you ask us, which is why we’re here to help you avoid running into it.
The most common repair that any controller needs… new batteries! That’s why all ChronoTrack controllers have removable batteries that you can simply switch out yourself. A small detail that makes a big difference!
We’ve seen our mats take a beating – like, run over by a truck kind of beating. They may not be the lightest on the market, but they’re certainly durable. You can be confident that they’ll stand the test of time, regardless of weather conditions or other abuse.
Because our cables attach at the top of our controllers, rather than on the sides, they’re more weather-resistant than some other brands…which we all know is very important in this industry. That means more reliability on race day, period.
Speaking of cables…when was the last time you replaced yours? The average lifespan of cables is 4-6 years, but you should be testing them every two years or so. You’re at the height of your season right now, if it’s time for an upgrade… don’t wait until something goes wrong. Our bigger, more expensive hardware (like boxes and mats) age like fine wine, but cables… eh, a little more like beer exposed to the sun.
