CT Live Scoring – Timing Device Behavior Improvements

We’re pleased to announced that we’ve made some improvements to how Timing Devices behave in relation to their associated reads. These improvements specifically revolve around editing Timing Devices after reads have been streamed to them. Seasoned users may recognize some of the scenarios below:

  • Editing a Timing Point and deselecting a Timing Device that contains tag reads is now permitted. All tag reads associated with that Timing Device will be completely removed from the Timing Point
  • Adding a Timing Device that contains tag reads to a Timing Point in the SAME race will always copy all associated tag reads to the new Point and mark them as NEW for calculation.
  • Adding a Timing Device that contains tag reads to a Timing Point in a DIFFERENT race will always copy all associated tag reads to the new Point and mark them as NEW for calculation.

These updates will provide a more consistent experience when editing courses after an event has begun.
